Renee Basye

Who your are?   Renee Williams

Kennel name?   von Waldstadt Boxers

How did you choose a Boxer? I fell in love with a friends Boxer.  His name was Max,
and he was a white Boxer.  I’d never before met a dog with such an incredible
personality.

Boxer Club Memberships?   American Boxer Club, Tree Towns Boxer Club, United
States Boxer Association, East Wisconsin Working Boxer Club, and a supporter of
the American Boxer Charitable Foundation

Do you do any training?  Yes

What type:  Obedience, Agility, Tracking, and Schutzhund

Who mentored you?  What did you learn from the mentor?
I’ve had endless support from Cathy Markos of von Bachbett Boxers.  She’s always
been there to teach me and support me.  Barbara Compton has also been there for
me, and I credit Nan Hauprich for my love of training Boxers in Obedience by brining
performance events back to our National Specialty.

Looking back what do you think are some of your more memorable
accomplishments?

The first was finishing Jakob’s CDX at the ABC National Specialty.  I’ve never
worked so hard for anything in my life.

The second was Josie’s VCD2 title.  It had been a goal of mine to earn a VCD for
many years, the fact that she became the first Boxer to reach level 2 made me
especially proud.

What goals are your working for?

Anjas Utility Title, Schutzhund 1, and Agility Championship.

What information about you and your dogs would you like people to know?

I live by words from Tracy Hendrickson:

“Train your Boxer, every day, as if it’s the last day you will ever spend with them.”
